Spotlight Humane Dallas

The Humane Society of the United States is hosting its first Dallas Gala benefiting its Stop Puppy Mills Campaign. The evening will feature a live and silent auction and world-class entertainment.

Guests will learn more about The HSUS’ initiatives to put an end to puppy mills and other animal abuses throughout the country. The event is presented by the Arthur & Gail Benjamin Foundation and American Dog Rescue.

Puppy mills are large-scale commercial-breeding facilities that mass-produce
puppies for sale in pet stores, online and directly to the public. Breeding dogs live their entire lives in cages and are continually bred for years, without human companionship and never see a bed, a treat or a toy. They often receive little or no veterinary care and after their fertility wanes, breeding animals are commonly killed, abandoned or sold to another mill.
