August Dog Rescue is a non-breed specific dog rescue organization.  We are dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of suffering, homeless, and misplaced dogs, with a special focus on those that land on the euthanasia lists at Texas shelters. August Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization run solely by volunteers. We operate on donations and through foster homes and do not have a shelter facility.

August, a word defined as “inspiring reverence or admiration; of supreme dignity or grandeur; majestic,” aptly describes every unwanted dog in this world.  Our goal is to uphold each and every dog rescued to such standards.
